Langanes is an outdoor paradise for bird and nature lovers. Visitors can start their visit at the visitors center, and the old vicar house, which is one of the oldest stone buildings in the country. A trip to the outlying peninsula is a splendid adventure, passing remnants of ancient farms and beautiful scenery. Below Skoruvík cliffs is Stórikarl rock column, and one of Iceland's largest gannet colonies. There is also beautiful River Lonsa and great hiking trails.
